Mouse! Ex Libris Bookplate
Mouse! is the printed result of handset heritage type and a hand-carved linocut block, printed as two formes with a 1940s Adana Tabletop Press and oil-based relief ink. Sally’s traditional letterpress bookplates are a gentle gesture to the history of the Book and the longing to find a sense of homecoming in a favourite tale.
15cm x 10cm
Printed on either Bunkoshi or Okawara paper, traditional hand-made papers from Japan. Each bookplate is signed by Sally in the lower right-hand corner. This listing is for 1 bookplate.
The bookplate is packaged in a biodegradable cellulose sleeve backed with recycled boxboard. When unwrapped, a simple glue stick can be used to adhere the bookplate to the pages of your book. There is space in the design to write your own name. The following paper descriptions below may help you choose your paper:
Bunkoshi - a richly warm and natural coloured paper with slightly textured surface, 70 gsm
Okawara - a crisp and smooth paper, ivory in colour, 51 gsm
